2D seismic survey of Great South Basin


As operator, Shell New Zealand plans to undertake a 2D seismic survey in January 2014 in the Great South Basin. The survey is expected to take approximately 70 days, will target a 21,200km2 area and be around 150km offshore from Dunedin.

Shell New Zealand is very disappointed that its community meeting in Dunedin to discuss its plans for potential drilling in the Great South Basin and to listen to issues and concerns was disrupted and had to be prematurely closed down.

Young talent given energy booster


Matt Simpson, 17, from Stratford High School and Rebecca Joyce, 18, from New Plymouth Girls High School have been chosen from 16 other applicants to be awarded two Shell Scholarships, announced in New Plymouth today.
